Located in one of the savviest neighborhoods in Mexico City, Mattea tells the story of the essence of Italian culture where unconventional ingredients and concealed recipes are the main characters.

Mattea was created by renowned chef Axel Vázquez, a mastermind whose gift awakens the spirit through every bite.

Our role was to choreograph a sophisticated, yet spirited identity that revealed the handmade pasta making process; an intimate view to the world behind the story.

Italian tradition is shaped by the hands of Mammas and Nonnas who carry the gift of heritage forward to unite the territory through flavors and renewal.

We brought Mattea's character to life so her story could be told. A warm and intimate tale of a courageous woman who earned her culinary gift by traveling across Italy and discovering the secrets of the land while finding herself as a human being.
