CANVAS is a branding studio that started as a collective of multicultural personalities working together with very diverse, but highly complementary, superpowers. To define our brand identity we had to look at the commonalities rather than the differences, which led us to a simple conclusion: we're all humans from the same everything.
This made our choosing of natural, raw, elements an easy decision as part of the photoshoot, emphasizing the infinite scales of grey between black and white - just like ourselves. As a design studio we felt the responsibility to honor our roots, thus the creation of our iconography meant to honor Wassily Kandinsky, one of the greatest abstract artists. Following these lines, the logotype emulates the company's name rising above the water, representing our approach to design: looking at reality from an objective point of view.
